DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY POLICY

 

1.  As part of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) all businesses have to review how they manage all personal data.

 

2. GDPR is all about giving you greater visibility and control over the personal data organisations hold about you – whether it’s something as simple as your name, or as complex and sensitive as medical information. This means you can have greater confidence that information about you is accurate, up-to-date and properly managed.

3. You can choose who contacts you, and how, for example by email, social media or phone.

 

4. You can also change your mind at any time.  If you give an organisation permission to contact you, it doesn’t mean you can’t change your mind in the future. 

 

PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED BY JULIE FERGUSON REIKI AND WELLNESS COACHING:

 

A certain amount of personal data is collected when you attend a Reiki session or have EFT or a Wellness Coaching session.  This is for the purpose of meeting my insurance company’s requirements as well as for your health and safety during reiki treatments and wellness coaching sessions.

 

N.B.  EFT, Hypnotherapy and Wellness Coaching Sessions also include an outline note from the session which includes the date of the session, coaching information/items covered, any issues raised and any planned follow up actions.

 

Health related information is also used to tailor sessions to individual needs.

 

All information gathered by Julie Ferguson Reiki and Wellness Coaching is treated as confidential and is not shared with a third party.  The information is kept securely and for the time determined by my insurance company and is only viewed by me, Julie Ferguson.

You may, of course, decline to submit personally identifiable information to Julie Ferguson Reiki and Wellness Coaching but in this event, Julie Ferguson Reiki and Wellness Coaching may not be able to provide reiki treatments or wellness coaching.

 

HOW YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION IS USED:

 

Phone Numbers: I may use your phone number to contact you regarding an appointment – in response to an enquiry made by you, a change to a scheduled appointment, or to advise you that a time slot has become available if you had expressed an interest in it, or I think you may wish to be made aware.

 

If you do not wish me to contact you in this way, please inform me in person or by emailing julieferguson.info@gmail.com

 

Emails: I may use your email address to contact you regarding an appointment, or in response to an enquiry made by you by email or via my website.  

 

My website is managed via Wix.Com and is SSL secured – SSL allows visitors to navigate my website and submit information securely via HTTPS.  

 

I may also use your email address to send you some direct marketing emails for new, future, or alternative services.

 

Social Media/Facebook: If you have liked and follow my Julie Ferguson Reiki and Wellness Coaching Facebook page I will reach out to you through my Facebook page with general updates and information and if you comment or contact me, I may respond to you either via Facebook or Messenger.  I may also use Messenger to contact you with regards to responding to any enquiries you may make via Messenger or a change to a scheduled appointment.

 

Emergency Contact Information: This is collected solely for use in an emergency should Julie Ferguson Reiki and Wellness Coaching need to contact your next of kin or contact the emergency services.  This is the only time that information would then be shared with a third party and only in the context of an emergency.

 

Changes to this Policy: Julie Ferguson Reiki and Wellness Coaching may update its privacy policy and you should review this policy periodically.  If the policy is changed in anyway the latest version can be viewed as a dated version on this page - the Privacy Policy page (under Contact) on www.reikiandwellness.co.uk.  Changes to this policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
